Meet the latest member of our Sales Team, Jerome…
As the logistics and supply chain industry emerges post-coronavirus, there is going to be a definite shift towards higher resilience, flexibility and robustness. The need to adopt automation and robotics has never been more apparent to ensure success and we have the perfect person for the job. Meet Jerome, he recently joined our team to look after technical sales and proposals, ensuring that our customers feel their solutions and in-turn their investments are as optimised as possible, in the current climate.
We caught up with him recently to get to know him a little bit better and what makes him tick!
Why Breathe Technologies?
Breathe Technologies is proud of its ability to develop individuals by encouraging them to be agile in their approach, which is what I found most appealing.
Who has inspired you most in your career?
I find a servant leadership style can inspire talented individuals to flourish, I have been very fortunate to work with leaders who have given me the tools, which I am hoping to share with Breathe Technologies.
If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?
There is so much fascinating technology available today that it makes this question a hard one to answer. I could stand and watch robots, automated mixed case palletising, cranes and multishuttles for ages with glee. Seeing equipment being used to remove menial manual tasks from our customer’s warehouses with speed and grace is rewarding. If I had to choose though I think the adaptability of a Geek+ autonomous robot would be for me.
What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry?
Make sure you are on the same page as our customers. Solutions can seem obvious, but unless the customer is willing to take ownership of the solution you will be wasting your time.
What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened in your career?
I received a letter at work from a campervan company in New Zealand saying our booking had changed and they had changed it to something resembling a horsebox. It didn’t take too long for me to notice the smirks and sniggers from my colleagues who had set me up, however my face must have been a picture!
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can run and run. I recently completed the Spine Race, a 268-mile competition held in January with a strict equipment list and following the entire route of the Pennine Way.
